The Pioneers Athletics Club is proud to recognize the remarkable performance of Vernelle Valmond, who proudly represented the club at the DAA Inc. Jumps & Throws Classic 2026 held at Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

As the sole representative of Pioneers Athletics Club at the competition, Vernelle carried the club’s colours with pride, determination, and excellence. Competing against athletes from across Dominica, she demonstrated resilience and versatility in three challenging field events.

🏅 2nd Place – Women’s Javelin (U18)

To compete in three different throwing disciplines on the same day requires not only physical strength but also technical skill, focus, and mental toughness. Vernelle rose to the occasion and delivered impressive performances throughout the meet.
