Pioneers Athletics Club Athletes Ready to Represent Dominica at the Return of the ANOECS Athletics Championships

🇩🇲 The Pioneers Athletics Club proudly congratulates Akiesha Luke and Keyoni Esprit on their selection to represent Team Dominica at the 2026 ANOECS Athletics Championships, scheduled for July 4–5, 2026, at the Kim Collins Stadium in St. Kitts & Nevis.

This year’s championships mark the long-awaited return of the ANOECS Track & Field Championships after the competition was last held in 2017, making this a significant milestone for athletics across the OECS. Dominica will be represented by a talented delegation of eight athletes under the guidance of Coach Joel Hamilton, with the team featuring athletes preparing for future regional and international competitions.

🌟 Pioneers Proud

We are especially excited to see two of our outstanding athletes wearing the national colours once again.

🏃🏽‍♀️ Akiesha Luke

Akiesha continues to build an impressive season following her recent success in Guadeloupe, where she captured the women’s 800m title. At the ANOECS Championships she will compete in the 400m and 800m, carrying with her the determination and fighting spirit that have become her trademark.

🏃🏾‍♂️ Keyoni Esprit

One of Dominica’s fastest young sprinters, Keyoni will contest the 100m and 200m events. His consistent performances and dedication have earned him another opportunity to showcase his talent on the regional stage, and we look forward to seeing him compete against some of the Caribbean’s best.
