Pioneers Athletics Club once again demonstrated its strength and depth at the 2026 Thea Lafond-Gadson National Senior Championships, producing national champions across the track and field while securing 13 individual medals. The club’s athletes delivered outstanding performances, highlighted by one of the most dominant displays of the entire championships.
🌟 Curvin Leatham Named the Standout Performer. The highlight of the championships was the phenomenal performance of Curvin Leatham, who captured three individual gold medals in the 800m, 1500m, and 5000m. He was the only athlete at the entire championships to win three gold medals, making him the deserving Most Valuable Performer (MVP) of the meet.
The championships also showcased the depth of Pioneers Athletics Club, with athletes competing strongly across the sprints, middle-distance events, throws, and jumps. Their performances reflect the dedication of the athletes, the guidance of the coaching staff led by Dr. Cedric Harris, and the unwavering support of parents, volunteers, and supporters.
With 6 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals, Pioneers Athletics Club once again affirmed its position as one of Dominica’s leading athletics clubs and continues to build momentum as its athletes prepare for upcoming regional and international competitions.
Congratulations to every Pioneers athlete, coach, official, parent, and supporter on another outstanding championship performance! 🖤💛🏆
