Three outstanding members of Pioneers Athletics Club are proudly representing Dominica at the 2026 Windward Islands School Games in Saint Lucia as part of the national inter-secondary schools team.

Leading the delegation is Akiesha Luke, who has been named Female Captain of the 62-member Windward Islands School Games team. She will compete in the 400m, 800m, 4×100m Relay, and 4×400m Relay.

Joining her is Keyoni Esprit, who will contest the 100m, 200m, 4×100m Relay, and 4×400m Relay, while also representing Dominica in football.

Also flying the Pioneers flag is DeAndre Francis, who will compete in the 800m and 1500m, and will also be part of the football team.

The athletics competition takes place on 24 July in Soufrière, Saint Lucia, while the Games run from 24 July to 2 August and feature football, basketball, volleyball, netball, and athletics.

After finishing second overall at last year’s Games, Team Dominica will be aiming for another outstanding performance.
